It has taken me a while to come back around to it, but I am happy to say that the Texas Heart Pillow has finally come together. Stop by and check out this crochet item, patterns, and more in Doily Designs Etsy shop.

The first Texas flag started off not exactly what I had in mind, and it has taken me a while to find time to work on it. (1st flag seen above draped over the basket) 

It was not until the concept of a flag heart pillow had come to mind, that the Doily Deisgns' Heart Texas Flag Pillow stuck. Finally the Texas Flag I'd been wanting is complete!

A side shout out for a big Birthday wish to Theodor Suess Geisel, aka Dr Suess, who's birthday also fell on this day, March 2. (Theodor Suess Geisel 1904-1991 r.i.p.) Dr Suess wrote the first book that I ever read by myself, and is a hero of mine for his art and writing, and how he has captured the hearts of so many, to this day.
