Cleaning out my yarn I came across quite a few of my crochet fails.
Someone may find these humorous, or maybe even inspirational. 😅
Pony Bead Belt was an epic FAIL. Similar to what I was going for, but just no. Maybe for bellydance, or a costume of some sort. 🤔 But this one I may have dared to wear once since 2010.
Basically a very FAILED project.
Santa Hat 2010
Another not so much a fail, as just kind of funny to see the progression of my crochet, and patterns.
Old vs New Water Bottle Tote 😅
I kind of like the first one, but not so much the strap. The second one has the first blown away with the awesome strap. It is my go to strap pattern. ;)The first water bottle holder can not be counted as a fail for the fact that I used it for a few years. I strived for many years to make a better water bottle pattern, with many fails. The second Water Bottle Tote pattern definitely did not fail, and I have made many, including the pattern for sale on Etsy.
Recently, I added my free Chunky Scarf pattern on the blog, which was where I began using pony beads with crochet.
Back then, for many years I had wanted to add bead work to my crochet, but all the bead holes were too tiny for the yarn or tapestry needles, accept for pony beads, which at the time, did not have quite the look that I was after.
Later they come out with some metallic and clear pony beads that I had found later, and they were acceptable for my use, so I tried them. Other than a few projects to experiment, like the belt, I have not used them much. I did use them on my Chunky Scarves. (Click Here to find the free Chunky Scarf pattern on my blog.)
Crocheting with Pony Beads
Pony beads work great with crochet, for the large holes that yarn easily feeds thru.
